Vero has a great deal of CAM technology within the Group, and with VISI being one of the premier products, it was vital we evaluated our expanded toolbox to ensure VISI benefits from the increased technology portfolio. An updated GUI, improved point distribution and toolpath accuracy (by ‘smooth movements’) means the dynamics of the machine tool itself makes full use of the software improvements to ultimately produce shorter cutting times and a better surface finish.


The layout of the user interface for 3D milling operations now has a format similar to the 2D toolpaths. For example, the retract plane settings and oversize settings for 3D operations are in the same position in the dialogue box as for the 2D operations and vice versa. New component management enables greater editing functionality by allowing individual faces to be set as machined or protecting faces, offering complete control of machining areas.

New roughing

A number of new roughing and rest-roughing strategies combined with enhanced retract methods will generate even more efficient NC programs. Smooth toolpath movements and transitions, along with consistent feed movements allow a faster toolpath to be output closer to the maximum feedrate available on the machine tool. VISI automatically recognizes any areas where residual material is remaining and edits the toolpath accordingly, which keeps the cycle times low.

Nuove Strategie di Finitura

Tutte le strategie di finitura sono state migliorate. Una distribuzione ottimale dei punti e nuove opzioni per alta velocità sul percorso utensile permettono un più efficiente utilizzo delle macchine utensili riducendo la necessità di variare continuamente le accelerazioni mantenendo una velocità costante. Queste innovazioni restituiscono un notevole miglioramento nella fresatura e un’alta qualità superficiale.
